NGAT NEWS MAGAZINE NAMED

"BEST PUBLICATION OF A COMBINED ASSOCIATION"

SGT Mireya Cruz, Area IV Director and member of NGAT accepts the publication award from the EANGUS President, CSM (Ret) Frank Lever on behalf of the National Guard Association of Texas.  The "NGAT NEWS" also was awarded the most points of any publication in all categories.

EANGUS BUSINESS SESSIONS

TSgt Albert Cardenas - 149th SFS served as the acting President of NGAT during the EANGUS Conference because our current president is an officer.  He did an outstanding job of representing our association at the conference and presented the NGAT Presidents report during the morning caucus.

SSgt Matthew Phipps - 149th FW and SGT Jesus Martinez - Det 1 Co B 108th Avn step forward to ask questions during the open Senior Enlisted Leaders Panel consisting of SMA Preston, CMSAF Roy, CSM Hudson, CSM Angry, CCM Muncy and CCM Usry.

Even the GEICO Caveman was at the conference and received an award.

SGT Earle Sorensen - Btry A 2-131st FA, SGT Mireya Cruz - 449 AG Det, and SSG Allen Schonberg - 72nd IBCT all make personal donations to the EANGUS building fund and the "We Care For America Fund".  Way to go troops! The EANGUS "We Care For America" Foundation, provides Scholarships, Awards, Patriotism Awareness, Veterans Against Drugs Program and Emergency Relief for National Guard Members and families. 

SSG Milagros Henderson - 1936 Cont Bn and SGT Delisa Johnson - 36th DTSB make a $100.00 donation to the "We Care American Foundation" and the EANGUS building fund on behalf of the Junior Enlisted personnel in the Texas Military Forces.
