NGAT works diligently with our state and national legislatures to meet the needs of the Texas Military Forces and to continually improve all aspects of our members' lives and work environments. The Legislative Action Center serves to inform NGAT members on current legislative goals, provide up-to-date news on current legislative issues affecting the Texas Military Forces, help assist in ways to lobby and monitor congress, and establish an influential and effective grassroots.
- Monitors the National Security and Foreign Relations policies of our government, and voices your concern.
- Lobbies for additional veterans benefits.
- Continues efforts to increase individual benefits for Guard members.
- Maintains close contact with defense contractors in order to continue acquisition of state-of-the-art equipment.
- Conducts an annual conference for an update by state and national leaders and interaction with other NGAT members.
- Works to achieve equipment modernization of ARNG and ANG.
- Maintains close liaison with members of the Texas Legislature and members of the United States Congress.
- Represents YOU at the state and the federal level.
- Supports annual military construction programs for ARNG & ANG.
- Supports Military Readiness for National Defense and for emergency and disaster.
- Maintains your traditions in the history of the Texas Guard and in the Texas Guard's role for the Nation.
