SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
Friday, August 30, 2019
Texas Meet & Greet (Registration Pick-up) - There will be a meeting with all Texas attendees at a location to be named when we get closer to the conference at 1700 hours on Fri, Aug 30, 2019 in order to provide you with conference information and your required registration documents.
NGAUS Golf Tournament (Optional event - $135) - Fossil Trace Golf Course – 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM. Nestled adjacent to the foothills of the Rocky Mountain Front Range, Fossil Trace Golf Club is ranked 1st of Denver’s best golf courses.
Fourteener Climb (Optional Event - $75) - Located at Quandry Peak. Buses leave for the hike at 4:00 AM and lunch is included. “Fourteener” is a hike that covers the last 3,000 or so feet up to an elevation of 14,000 feet. The planned trek will take you up Mt. Bierstad on a relatively gentle, 3 ½ mile trail and the rest is downhill. The starting point is less than a 90 minute bus ride from Denver.
Motorcycle Rally (Optional Event - $60) – The route runs through the Peak to Peak Highway, one of Colorado’s most scenic byways. Starting in downtown Denver, you will ride past the Front Range and Rocky Mountain national parks, through the Indian Peaks and Long Peak landmarks and into the picturesque towns of Estes Park, Nederland, Central City and Black Hawk. There will be a stop for lunch. Bring your bike or rent one. Rental plans will be available closer to the event.
Company Grade/Warrant Officers Mixer – 7:00 PM – 11:00 PM (Included in registration) – Meet hundreds of company-grade and warrant officers at the historic Mile High Station, a preserved World War II-era shipbuilding ironworks. There will be plenty of food and drink. And the entertainment includes a silent disco, which will enable you to put in your earbuds and dance to the music of your choice. The main attraction, of course, is the chance to network with your peers from across the country.
Saturday, August 31, 2019
NGAUS Fun Run (Optional event - $30) – This year’s foot race treks through the historic 9th Street Park, Tivoli Commons, Tivoli Square and other greenway areas on Denver’s scenic Auraria Campus.
Governor’s Reception (Included in registration) – Wing Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum – This conference’s premier social event is inside a museum which is a facility that preserves the history of Lowry Air Force Base’s operations in a giant, refurbished World War II hanger. Artifacts include a B-1A and B-52 Stratofortress bombers and many other military planes. There are also aircraft simulators for you to pilot and, on this evening, a mechanical bull to ride.

NGAUS Spouses Luncheon (Included in registration) – The Centennial Ballroom – This event is across the street from the convention center in a recently renovated ballroom.
